Veilguard Has No Denuvo DRM Because They \"Trust You\"
BioWare delivers both good and bad news for Dragon Age: The Veilguard. The game will launch without Denuvo DRM, but PC players will miss out on preloading.

BioWare's Michael Gamble announced on Twitter (X) that The Veilguard will skip Denuvo DRM on PC. This anti-piracy software, while popular with publishers like EA, often impacts performance. The decision has been met with positive reactions from players. Gamble also confirmed that the game won't require always-online play.
However, this DRM-free approach means no preload for PC players. This is a significant drawback, especially considering the game's 100GB+ size. Console players, however, can preload. Xbox early access players can install now, while PlayStation early access begins October 29th.
System requirements were also released. High-end PCs can utilize ray tracing and uncapped frame rates. Minimum specs aim for broad accessibility. Consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S) offer fidelity and performance modes (30 and 60 FPS respectively). For full ray tracing on PC, you'll need at least an Intel Core i9 9900K or AMD Ryzen 7 3700X CPU, 16GB RAM, and an Nvidia RTX 3080 or AMD Radeon 6800XT GPU.
