The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2's anticipated 2025 launch promises fresh endgame content and the expansion's next chapter. However, Patch 11.0.7 introduces several story quests setting the stage for Patch 11.1, focusing on the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though it wasn't immediately available upon patch release.
Updated January 7, 2025, by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant conclusion. Dalaran's long history in Warcraft and World of Warcraft may end with The War Within's events. The Dalaran Epilogue provides closure, bidding farewell to this crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the Lingering Shadows campaign begins immediately. Prior completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. However, completing prior storylines is recommended to avoid spoilers and enhance understanding. The Lingering Shadows campaign includes:

Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, this questline had a three-week delay. As of January 7th, this restriction is lifted. However, completing both The War Within's leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (requiring Renown Four with all four Khaz Algar factions) is necessary.
To check your progress, visit Foundation Hall (Patch 11.1 prologue location). Khadgar's presence (after January 7th) indicates readiness. His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below:
