World of Warcraft Patch 11.1: A Tribute to Mats Steen

World of Warcraft's upcoming Patch 11.1 is shaping up to be a significant update, bringing not only new content to Undermine but also a touching tribute to a beloved player, Mats Steen. Dataminers have uncovered an NPC, Lord Ibelin Redmoore, mirroring Steen's iconic in-game character. This addition is expected to arrive around February 25th, coinciding with the anticipated release of Patch 11.1.

The inclusion of Lord Ibelin Redmoore, a Private Investigator, pays homage to Steen's renowned roleplaying history within the Starlight guild. His character was known for his detective work in Stormwind and engaging interactions with other players.

While the specifics of Ibelin's in-game presence remain a mystery, speculation suggests he might be found in Stormwind taverns or perhaps traversing his well-known route through Westfall, Duskwood, the Redridge Mountains, and Elwynn Forest. Players may even encounter him on the Public Test Realm (PTR) before the official patch release.

This marks the third tribute to Ibelin within World of Warcraft. Previous memorials include a replica of his real-life grave and the Reven fox pet and backpack sold in a charity bundle benefiting CureDuchenne. These gestures reflect the profound impact Steen's story has had on the World of Warcraft community.

Patch 11.1 also introduces new adventures within Undermine, the Goblin capital city, marking the first major content update for World of Warcraft: The War Within.
