Phase 7 of Season of Discovery comes just two months after Phase 6, which took players back to Silithus for the Scepter of the Shifting Sands quest chain and the Ahn'qiraj raids. During their adventures in Ahn'qiraj, players encountered a mysterious Shadowy Figure in the desert ruins. While many speculated that this figure was Xal'atath, the main antagonist from World of Warcraft: The War Within, the NPC only made cryptic remarks about the Old Gods in Phase 6. It remains to be seen whether the Shadowy Figure will make a final appearance in Phase 7.

Although Phase 7 marks the end of Season of Discovery, World of Warcraft Classic players will soon face new challenges. Phase 7 will go live on Tuesday, January 28, following server maintenance.
