World of Warcraft Patch 11.1 introduces exhilarating new race types: Breakneck D.R.I.V.E. races and Skyrocket races, utilizing Goblin jetpacks. These replace traditional Skyriding races within the new Undermine zone.

Undermine, the subterranean Goblin capital, prohibits flying. Instead, players navigate using the customizable D.R.I.V.E. vehicle, offering a thrilling alternative to aerial mounts. Breakneck races fully leverage the D.R.I.V.E.'s speed and maneuverability.

Complementing the ground-based races are the innovative Skyrocket races. These utilize Goblin jetpacks for aerial navigation, offering a unique blend of flight mechanics. Unlike traditional flight, players can't stop mid-air, but they also don't lose momentum or altitude like in Skyriding. Collecting rings increases speed, but reduces turning responsiveness, adding a strategic layer to the challenge.

No Skyriding, But Plenty of Races:

Undermine's no-fly policy extends to Skyriding races. However, both Breakneck and Skyrocket races offer achievements for Bronze, Silver, and Gold completion times. Reverse versions of all races are also included, though advanced or challenge courses are absent.

Race List (Patch 11.1):

Player reception to Skyrocket races is currently mixed. Concerns exist regarding the jetpack's stiffness and responsiveness compared to Skyriding. However, with Patch 11.1 still under development (potential February release), further refinement is expected.
