Games Workshop, creator of Warhammer 40,000, continues its success streak by distributing £20 million (around $27 million) in staff bonuses.

The UK-based tabletop gaming giant reported core revenues of £560 million for fiscal year ending June 1, 2025, up from £494.7 million previously. Licensing revenue surged to £50 million from £31 million, while core profits reached £210 million (£174.8 million previously) and licensing profits £45 million (£27 million). Pre-tax profits climbed to £255 million from £203 million.

Following these record earnings, Games Workshop will distribute £20 million among employees—£2 million more than last year—recognizing their contributions. Each of the estimated 1,500 staff members will receive approximately £13,333 ($18,000).

While known for miniature wargames like Warhammer 40,000, Games Workshop has expanded into IP licensing. Recent successes include Space Marine 2 and Amazon's Warhammer 40,000 animation. The company's partnership with Henry Cavill will produce films and TV shows, with Space Marine 3 already underway.

The company acknowledges record licensing revenue but cautions against expecting similar results in 2025/26. Despite this, Warhammer's popularity shows no signs of waning.
