Weekly Challenges: A New Game Mode in The Battle of Polytopia
The Battle of Polytopia has just spiced things up with the introduction of Weekly Challenges, providing an exciting new way to test your strategic prowess in this beloved 4X strategy game. Let's dive into the details of this fresh update.
It Was Random Before
The game has always been known for its high level of randomness, from the diverse array of enemies and resources to the ever-changing maps that keep players on their toes. However, with the latest free update, the competition is taking on a more structured form.
Every week, players are presented with the same map, the same tribe, and identical gameplay conditions. The challenge? You have 20 turns to achieve the highest possible score. You can attempt this challenge once per day, giving you a maximum of seven tries per week.
One of the most exciting aspects of this new feature is the opportunity to try tribes you might not own yet. The Battle of Polytopia boasts a total of 16 tribes—four included in the base game and an additional twelve available for purchase at $1-4 each. In the Weekly Challenges, however, everyone gets to compete using the same tribe, regardless of ownership.
Will Weekly Challenges Make The Battle of Polytopia More Exciting?
Absolutely, and here's why. The new mode also introduces a League system that adds an extra layer of competition. All players start in the Entry League, and your performance each week determines whether you move up, down, or stay put. The top third of players advance to the next league, the bottom third drop down, and those in the middle maintain their position.
As you progress through the leagues, the difficulty level scales accordingly. In the Entry League, you'll face AI opponents set to Easy difficulty, but by the time you reach the Gold League, you'll be up against bots on Crazy difficulty. And don't worry if you miss a week; you won't be demoted, but your ranking will adjust based on the performance of others.
To experience this exciting new feature, head over to the Google Play Store and dive into The Battle of Polytopia's latest update.
