Following the version 2.4 update, Wuthering Waves is preparing for its next major release: version 2.5, titled Unfading Melody of Life. Arriving on July 24th across all platforms, this update introduces a new Resonator, location, and story content, alongside various gameplay enhancements and upcoming events.

Wuthering Waves version 2.5 continues the core storyline in Chapter II Act VII – Dreamcatchers in the Secret Gardens, while a new area, Fabricatorium of the Deep, expands the map with fresh exploration opportunities. Players will encounter new Echoes such as Nightmare: Hecate and Galcio Predator, along with a formidable Phantom: Nightmare Inferno Rider.

The highlight of this version is undoubtedly Phrolova, a new Resonator making her debut in the first featured banner, Requiem Without End. She is accompanied by a new weapon, Lethean Elegy, available through a limited-time Weapon Convene. These additions are complemented by several time-limited events, including Phantasma Dreamland, the Gifts of Grand Symphony login event, and The Border Mountains.

Furthermore, the update introduces a new Sonata Effect, Dream of the Lost, which increases Crit Rate and Echo Skill damage when Resonance Energy is at zero. For guidance on team composition, refer to our Wuthering Waves tier list.

Quality-of-life improvements are also part of this update. Echo Management now allows automatic locking or discarding of Echoes based on custom plans, while the new Sync Tuning system simplifies Echo upgrades with automatic Tuner usage. Players can save up to 10 preset teams and toggle skill music for specific Resonators to personalize their experience.

Additionally, Wuthering Waves is now compatible with Steam Deck as of this update. On mobile, it continues to stand out as a Forever Franchise nominee at the Mobile Games Awards, alongside popular titles like Candy Crush Saga, Clash Royale, and Subway Surfers.
