Xbox Game Pass January 2025: New Games and Departures

Microsoft has unveiled its first Xbox Game Pass lineup for 2025, confirming several anticipated titles and revealing the games leaving the service this month. January is shaping up to be a strong start to the year for subscribers.

The announcement, made via the official Xbox blog on January 7th, 2025, includes seven new games. Road 96, a choice-driven adventure game, is immediately available across all Game Pass tiers (including PC). Six more titles join the service later in the month: Lightyear Frontier (Preview), My Time at Sandrock, Robin Hood – Sherwood Builders, and Rolling Hills launch on January 8th, while UFC 5 and Diablo arrive on January 14th. Note that Diablo is exclusive to Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass, and UFC 5 is a Game Pass Ultimate-only title.

New Games:

Alongside the new games, several Game Pass Ultimate perks launched on January 7th, including in-game items for Apex Legends and DLC for First Descendant, Vigor, and Metaball.

However, with new arrivals come departures. Six games are leaving Xbox Game Pass on January 15th: Common'hood, Escape Academy, Exoprimal, Figment, Insurgency Sandstorm, and Those Who Remain.
