Six Xbox Game Pass titles, including Exoprimal and Escape Academy, are departing on January 15th, likely around midnight local time. This removal impacts half of the departing games which offer multiplayer functionality.

The Xbox Game Pass catalog sees regular updates, typically removing games mid-month and at the end of the month. Following the December 31st removal of several titles, this latest wave includes:

Half of these games feature multiplayer modes; Exoprimal and Insurgency: Sandstorm are entirely multiplayer, while Escape Academy offers a well-received co-op option. Escape Academy also holds the distinction of having the longest tenure on Game Pass, added in July 2022 as a day-one title.

While Escape Academy is leaving Xbox Game Pass, PC players can claim it for free on the Epic Games Store starting January 16th. Removal times vary, but most games are typically removed near the end of the day.

The next wave of removals is anticipated on January 31st, with details expected alongside the announcement of January 2025's second wave of additions. This second wave is already confirmed to include Lonely Mountains: Snow Riders, Eternal Strands, Sniper Elite: Resistance, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector – all day-one releases. Further updates are anticipated around January 23rd, coinciding with the Xbox Developer Direct.
