But which Xbox game series gets *you* most excited? Which series provided the most enjoyment during the Xbox 360's heyday? Or, if you've never owned an Xbox console, which series are you most eager to see arrive on other platforms like PlayStation, as Microsoft continues its apparent push to share its game library more broadly?

There's a wealth of legendary game series to choose from, especially considering Microsoft's acquisitions of Bethesda and Activision Blizzard. This tier list includes any series associated with Xbox, Bethesda, and Activision Blizzard, provided it boasts more than one entry—sorry, MachineGames and Indiana Jones! A sequel would definitely change that. This isn't an exhaustive list of *every* Xbox game series, but we've aimed for comprehensive coverage of current and historically significant titles.

For me, Doom easily earns an S-tier ranking. The recent entries are among my favorite first-person shooters, and Doom: The Dark Ages suggests id Software is maintaining its high standards. Forza Horizon also sits comfortably in S-tier; alongside Burnout 3 and Burnout Revenge, they're arguably the best racing games I've ever played. Placing Halo in A-tier might raise eyebrows. While Halo 2 and 3 boast phenomenal campaigns, I can't ignore the inconsistencies of more recent entries. I'm also more of a Fallout fan than an Elder Scrolls one—give me power armor over dragons any day!
