MAME4droid replicates classic arcade games compatible with the original MAME 0.139u1 emulator.

MAME4droid (0.139u1), developed by David Valdeita (Seleuco), is an Android adaptation of Nicola Salmoria's MAME 0.139 emulator. It faithfully recreates thousands of arcade games from this MAME version, supporting more than 8,000 unique ROMs.

* IMPORTANT: MAME4droid is ONLY AN EMULATOR and DOES NOT CONTAIN ANY ROMS OR COPYRIGHTED CONTENT.

This MAME4droid release is optimized for dual-core Android devices, as it's built upon the demanding PC version of MAME that requires more processing power than older iterations.

Even on premium devices, don't expect flawless performance for post-90s arcade titles. Games like OutRun and Mortal Kombat suffer from poor optimization and need at least a 1.5GHz dual-core processor.

With compatibility spanning 8,000+ games, performance varies widely - some run perfectly while others may not work at all. Due to this massive library, developers can't provide support for individual titles.

After installation, transfer your MAME-compatible ROM zips to the /sdcard/MAME4droid/roms directory.

Note: This MAME4droid version exclusively works with the '0.139' romset.
