HOW TO PLAY

Ludo is a classic dice and race game played with four pieces per player and a set of dice. Naija Ludo currently supports two players with two houses each, where each player controls eight pieces. The objective is to move all eight pieces to the home position before your opponent.

MOVEMENT OF PIECE

The player with the red house starts the game. If a player wins, the next game begins with the loser starting with the red house. A piece can only leave the house if a die roll results in a 6, whereas pieces already on the track can move with any die outcome. Pieces travel along a 56-step track from home to the center of the board. A piece is removed from the board if it completes the 56 steps or captures an opponent's piece.

PIECE CAPTURE

A player's piece can capture an opponent's piece by landing on the same block. The captured piece returns to its home, while the capturing piece remains on the board. The key to success is capturing as many of your opponent's pieces as possible while avoiding being captured yourself. However, a piece cannot capture if the remaining die outcome cannot be used.

IMPORTANT NOTES

  1. A player can roll the dice consecutively if each roll results in a 6.
  2. The die outcome must be played before rolling again, regardless of the result.
  3. For a smoother and faster game, go to settings and enable DIRECT COUNT.
