The advanced modding system supports detailed animations for various bus components, including buttons, wipers, windows, and rain effects. The community has already created hundreds of bus mods, with more on the horizon. New bus mods will be regularly released; to manage storage efficiently, the game uses a mod system, allowing players to select their favorite buses. Older, non-animated buses will be re-released as mods in the coming months.

Proton Bus Urbano also features a map modding system—a rarity in mobile gaming! While map creation requires a computer, the resulting maps are compatible with most mobile devices with sufficient RAM. While existing routes remain, the focus is shifting towards user-created maps, making custom routes the future of the game.

This simulator is free-to-play, with optional paid features for enhanced gameplay. The free version offers unlimited gameplay; paid users receive an ad-free experience and access to exclusive features such as virtual mirrors, cruise control, and 360-degree screenshot capture.
