Tien Len Mien Nam (TLMN), also known as Thirteen Cards, is a thrilling four-player card strategy game popular across Asia. The goal? Be the first to play all your cards!

Gameplay Overview:

Each player receives 13 cards. The player holding the 3 of Spades starts the first round. Subsequent rounds begin with the winner of the previous round playing any valid card combination. Players take turns playing higher-ranking card sets or passing. Three passes end a round. The last player to play starts the next round. The game concludes when a player exhausts their hand.

Card Sets and Ranking:

Valid card sets include:

• Single: One card.
• Pair: Two cards of the same rank.
• Triple: Three cards of the same rank.
• Quadruple: Four cards of the same rank (special).
• Series: Three or more consecutive cards.
• Double Series: Six or more consecutive pairs (special).

Card ranks ascend: 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, J, Q, K, A, 2. Suits rank: Spade (highest), Club, Diamond, Heart (lowest). Sets are compared by their highest-ranking card.

Special Card Set Rules:

The 2 ("Pig") is the highest card. However, specific sets can beat deuce combinations:

• A six-card double series beats a single deuce.
• A quadruple beats a six-card double series, a single deuce, or a pair of deuces.
• An eight-card double series beats a quadruple, a six-card double series, a single deuce, or a pair of deuces.

Automatic Wins:

Certain hands automatically win the game:
