Developer Ultizero Games has announced a three-month delay for Lost Soul Aside, moving its launch from May 30 to August 29, 2025. After nearly a decade in development, the single-player action RPG for PC and PlayStation 5 requires additional refinement before release.

Developer Commits to Quality Over Speed

Originally slated for next month, Ultizero Games explained the delay will allow for further polishing. "We're incredibly grateful for the global support Lost Soul Aside has received since its announcement," the studio stated. "To meet our high standards, we've decided to extend development. The new release date is August 29, 2025."

From Solo Project to Sony-Published Title

What began as creator Yang Bing's personal passion project evolved into a major Sony title under the China Hero Project initiative. IGN recently interviewed Bing about the game's lengthy development journey - from viral 2016 prototype to featured State of Play reveal.

Gameplay and Story Details

Players control Kesar, wielding a transforming weapon that alters combat styles, assisted by Arena - a dragon-like companion providing special abilities. The game combines precision combat mechanics (aerial dodges, counters, combos) with dimension-hopping sci-fi adventure.

While story details remain enigmatic, Bing describes Kesar's journey as one of "redemption and discovery." The game merges contemporary aesthetics with large-scale boss battles, drawing comparisons to Devil May Cry's combat blended with Final Fantasy's character designs.
