This surpasses the viewership of other major movie trailer launches, including Deadpool & Wolverine, which garnered 365 million views, and The Fantastic Four: First Steps with 200 million views. Even last year's Superman trailer, which set a record for DC and Warner Bros. with over 250 million views, was eclipsed by the monumental success of GTA 6 Trailer 2.

It's noteworthy that GTA 6 Trailer 1, which was released exclusively on YouTube and achieved 93 million views on its debut day, held the title for the largest non-music video launch on the platform. As of May 8, GTA 6 Trailer 2 has accumulated 85,276,196 views on Rockstar's official YouTube channel.

Following the trailer's release, IGN reported a phenomenal surge in Spotify streams for The Pointer Sisters' song Hot Together, which was featured in GTA 6 Trailer 2. In the two hours post-premiere, the track saw a 182,000% increase in global streams. Sulinna Ong, Spotify's Global Head of Editorial, remarked on the cultural impact of the Grand Theft Auto series, stating, "Music has been synonymous with the series since the very beginning, so it’s great to see fans both new and established connecting with an iconic track in this way."
