Get ready for a dazzling update in Pokémon TCG Pocket as The Pokémon Company introduces Shiny Pokémon with the Shining Revelry expansion. This exciting addition brings a literal sparkle to the digital card game, enhancing your collection with shimmering versions of your favorite Pokémon.
When Are Shiny Pokémon Arriving in Pokémon TCG Pocket?
Mark your calendars for March 27th, 2025, as the Shining Revelry expansion launches, bringing over 110 new cards to the game. You'll have the chance to pull Shiny versions of beloved Pokémon like Charizard ex, Lucario ex, and Pachirisu. The digital format will make these cards shimmer when tilted, adding a new layer of visual appeal. Starting April 1st, you can also grab a Shiny Charizard-themed display board and binder.
In addition to Shiny Pokémon, characters from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, including Tatsugiri, Sprigatito, and Iono, will join the fray. From March 28th to April 27th, new ex Starter Deck missions will be available, offering you the opportunity to earn a deck ticket that can be exchanged for one of nine starter decks. Shiny Pokémon have been a cherished part of the Pokémon TCG for years, first appearing in the Neo Destiny set from the second generation. The Hidden Fates set later set the standard for modern Shiny cards with its expansive Shiny Vault, and now, they're making their way into Pokémon TCG Pocket.
Ranked Matches Are Finally Coming!
Exciting news for competitive players: ranked matches are finally coming to Pokémon TCG Pocket. The first season will kick off on March 28th and run until April 27th, featuring the new Shining Revelry cards. You'll be matched against opponents with similar skill levels, ensuring fair and thrilling battles. At the end of the season, you'll earn an emblem to display on your profile, reflecting your final rank. If this sounds thrilling, be sure to download the game from the Google Play Store.
