Tsukuyomi: Divine Hunter - New Deck-Building Roguelike by Kazuma Kaneko

Kazuma Kaneko, the visionary behind iconic series like Shin Megami Tensei, Persona, and Devil Summoner, is back with an exciting new project titled Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter. Developed by COLOPL, this roguelike deck-building game is set to launch on PC, iOS, and Android, melding Kaneko's distinctive dark, mythological style with strategic card-based gameplay.

Set against the backdrop of a futuristic Tokyo Bay, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter unfolds within The Hashira, a towering high-rise transformed into a sealed-off battleground. This ominous structure is now home to gods and demons, and it's up to the elite national defense force, Tsukuyomi, to ascend to the top floor and neutralize a formidable foe.

Fans of Kaneko's previous works will recognize the game's setting, which masterfully blends urban decay with supernatural horror, creating a haunting and intense atmosphere. The fusion of mythology and cyberpunk themes promises an immersive experience upon its anticipated release later this year.

As a roguelike card game, Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter challenges players to construct a deck of potent abilities while navigating an ever-shifting dungeon. Each run offers unique cards, layouts, and enemy encounters, ensuring no two playthroughs are the same.

Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter Gameplay

Combat in the game is fast-paced and turn-based, requiring players to make swift, strategic decisions. With each turn allowing only one action—either an attack or a defensive move—choosing wisely is crucial for survival.

Exploration within the dungeon includes branching paths and significant choices that impact your journey. These decisions have lasting effects on battles and resource availability. True to the roguelike genre, failure in combat results in a total reset, demanding careful planning and strategy from players.

Tsukuyomi: The Divine Hunter is slated for release around June 30th, though this date may be subject to change. Interested players can pre-register by clicking on their preferred link below.
