A post-Game Awards 2024 interview with Gamertag Radio, featuring game director Sebastian Kalemba and executive producer Gosia Mitręga, shed light on the upcoming adventure. Ciri's journey will lead players to unexplored corners of the Continent. Kalemba confirmed the village shown in the trailer is Stromford, a place where a chilling ritual involving young girls takes place to appease their deity.

This "god," revealed to be a monster named Bauk, is inspired by Serbian mythology. Kalemba described Bauk as a formidable and cunning foe, a "tricky bastard" designed to instill fear. And Bauk is just the beginning; players can expect a host of new monsters to confront.

While Kalemba expressed enthusiasm about the new locations and creatures, he remained tight-lipped about specifics, promising a fresh and exciting experience within the familiar setting of the Continent.
