Game designer Sha Dingyu highlighted the unprecedented challenge of integrating the Nikki IP's dress-up mechanics into an open-world setting. This required building a new framework from scratch, a process that took years of research and development. Despite the challenges, the team's commitment to turning their dream into reality never wavered.

The Nikki franchise, which started with NikkuUp2U in 2012, has evolved significantly with Infinity Nikki being its fifth installment and the first to be released on multiple platforms.
