As inZOI's Early Access progresses, players discovered an unsettling capability - the ability to strike children with vehicles. A March 28th Reddit post titled "I don't think Krafton realizes you can hit children in inZOI" showcased gameplay footage where a child character was launched an extreme distance upon vehicle impact, ultimately resulting in fatal consequences.

While developers had previously confirmed adult characters could die from vehicle collisions during their showcase, they never mentioned this mechanic applied to child characters. A Krafton representative told Eurogamer this was an unintended glitch, now resolved in the latest update: "These depictions were inappropriate and don't align with inZOI's values. We recognize the seriousness of this issue regarding age-appropriate content and are improving our internal review processes."

This fix maintains the game's Teen ESRB rating, as retaining such features might have warranted stricter age restrictions.

Director Acknowledges Realism Limitations on Humor

Despite receiving "Very Positive" Steam reviews praising its visual quality, Game Director Hyungjun 'Kjun' Kim revealed the challenges of blending humor with photorealism: "We frequently debated how far to push realism. Some comedic elements we considered felt incongruent with our visual style, which was occasionally disappointing."

Kim acknowledged The Sims 4's successful whimsical identity while explaining inZOI's different creative direction: "Our immersive graphics create unique engagement opportunities, though they require different design approaches. We're proud of the distinctive world we're building."
